  Citizens for a Better Flathead will be celebrating 32 years and hosting its annual Great Place Raffle Party. There will be a catered dinner by the House of S & M, a no-host bar provided by Waters Edge Winery, and door prizes, time to visit with friends and hear briefly about some of the work we are doing. The event is open to the public, and we hope you will join us as we celebrate our 32nd year and the wonderful community support that makes our work possible. Raffle tickets will be available for sale at the start of the evening, but we encourage you to go online at https://www.flatheadcitizens.org to see the list of 25 great prizes and to purchase your raffle tickets before the event. Tickets are $25 each or five for $100. Citizens for a Better Flathead (CBF) works to foster informed and active citizen participation in the decisions shaping the Flathead's future and to champion the democratic principles, sustainable solutions, and shared vision necessary to keep the Flathead special forever. Since 1992 we have been working to secure policies that will keep the Flathead the place we love as it changes and grows. Since 1992 the population of the Flathead Valley has almost doubled from 62,949 to over 110,000 today, which has brought a lot of change. How the Flathead grows is important to all of us. This event is an informal opportunity to gather, celebrate, and learn a bit more about the work CBF does.

  An enjoyable 5K and 1-mile fun run benefitting Columbia Falls Junior High School and local nonprofit organizations.  Bring the whole family for a course starting/finishing at Marantette Park, an event complete with food trucks and the music of Luke Lautaret.  Race begins at 10am with festivities to follow into the early afternoon.  The relatively flat route utilizes the Gateway to Glacier trail and is an out and back course with aid stations along the way.

  Join us in supporting Ravenwood Outdoor Learning Center, the Boys & Girls Club of Glacier Country, and Land to Hand.  Proceeds will be distributed to these critical youth service providers and also provide funding for new appliances in the Columbia Falls Junior High family consumer sciences classroom.

  The Full Marathon, Boston Qualifier, run begins at Big Creek Campground and finishes at Glacier Bank in Columbia Falls, Montana.  The Marathon borders Glacier National Park, Flathead river, and Cedar Creek with incredible views as you run.  The course is a mix of gravel and pavement to ease the knees with some rolling hills to keep your legs awake and rocking the entire route. The Marathon course will guarantee to make you fall in love with northwest Montana and all its beauty as you race to cross the finish line in quaint Columbia Falls, Montana.
  
  The Half Marathon course comes in halfway through the Marathon Route and continues through the beautiful views and fall colors along a 100% paved course finishing in Columbia Falls, Montana.

  The 10K route begins on the trails just outside Columbia Falls.  Enjoy a beautiful run with a mix of trail and pavement. The course will make its way onto the North Fork road and finish at Glacier Bank.
  The 5K begins just outside the amazing City of Columbia Falls on Aluminum Drive and heads towards Columbia Falls along the North Fork Road.  The course is a beautiful, fast run with a finish at Glacier Bank.

  The Columbia Falls Area Chamber of Commerce's July Business After Hours Bash will be held on Tuesday, October 22nd, 2024 from 5:00-6:30 pm.   Our Business After Hour Bash occurs quarterly at a different member business and is co-hosted by 2-3 Chamber businesses and features a nonprofit Chamber member.  They are the perfect way to connect with other business professionals, find your next customer, and chat with Chamber representatives.  

  The event is free to attend and open to the public.  We do recommend bringing a donation for our featured nonprofit.
